No kiddo is too young when it comes to our classes (though keep an eye on the age groups for each class). Even if the little one is sleeping or is not attentive to the instructions, they are still getting exposure to music, instruments, socialization, and so much more!
For our lessons, we generally recommend kiddos be over the age of 5. And the age limit after 5 does not exist. We take little ones, teenagers, young adults, adults, and older adults. No one is too old to take lessons!
Classes for the younger kids are offered anytime between 9:20am and 5pm. The classes for older kids are offered between 5pm and 8pm.
Lessons are generally from 3:30pm until 8pm.
We request that you let us know of a cancellation before 10am the day of and you will not be billed. Those who are late to or fail to notify us of an absence will result in a full charge.
We offer free trials for our classes and our lessons! We want you to feel comfortable with the people, environment, and activities. If you enjoy your trial, let us know and we can put you on the schedule!
Similarly to our cancellation policy, we request that someone notify us before 10am the day of the lesson. If you notify us before 10am the day of, you will not be charged. For those who fail to contact us or contact us after 10am, we give the option of a make-up credit or a $25 last-minute cancellation charge.
We have a private lesson registration form on our Lessons page for you to fill out, and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours.

Yes! We currently offer group lessons that teach ukulele and guitar.
We offer lessons weekly. Lessons are 30, 45, and 60 minutes.
Generally, ages 5-11 take 30-minute lessons, ages 12-15 take 30-45-minute lessons, and ages 16+ take 30, 45, or 60-minute lessons.
30-minute lessons are $50
45-minute lessons are $73
60-minute lessons are $90
Lessons are in our DOWNSTAIRS area of the barn! We usually give directions about it being the building with rainbow stairs - we say that as they are an identifying factor!
Yes! If you would like to take lessons for a specific instrument - you must buy or rent that instrument so that you may practice and take it to lessons with you (unless you are taking piano lessons - it is pretty tricky to lug a piano around).
It is also important to note that there may be other things needed in order to play the instrument (tuners, rosin, shoulder rests, etc).
For vocalists - bring your body and hydrate.
For optimal improvement, people should practice once a day even if it is a short period of time. The lengths depend on age, ability to concentrate, and goals. Younger kids may find it hard to concentrate for long periods of time so maybe practicing 10 minutes a day is a good amount of time for them. For older kids/adults it is recommended to practice 20-30 minutes each day.
You've probably heard the saying, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." Well, in the world of early childhood music, the saying is more like, "You can't teach a toddler too early!"
I know what you're thinking: "My little one is just starting to walk/talk/explore! Will they even notice the music?"
The answer is a resounding YES!
Even though your toddler might not be singing along to every song or perfectly imitating the dance moves or directions in class, they are absorbing every single sound and movement.
Here's why:
Don't worry if your little one:
Trust me, you and your little one will have a blast!
So come join us and get your little one's neurons firing! And psst...you'll have the BEST time with your LO in the meantime...

Yes! If you would like to take classes for a specific instrument you must own or rent it. We request that you bring your instruments to classes and that you use your instruments at home to practice.

Not necessarily. We request a ballpark figure of kids in attendance but we will adjust the payment after the party so you are not overcharged if kids do not show.
The music portion, led by one of our fabulous teachers, is approximately 45 minutes long.
The parents may arrive 30 minutes before guests come to decorate and set up the party room downstairs. Once that is set up and everyone is ready, there are 15 minutes to greet guests while children play around with instruments. Then we have our 45-minute teacher-led program. Following the program, everyone gathers downstairs in the party room for food and cake.
Additional time may be added for an additional cost.
